Milk
has to be pumped from the receiver to the bulk tank, and
a control mechanism must be incorporated which turns the
milk pump on and off. NuPulse offers high capacity centrifugal
milk pumps and two models of controls.
The
Centri-Flo Milk Pump Control uses probes to sense milk
level in the receiver and turns the pump on when the level
is high and turns it off when the level is low.

II Controller
The
Impulse II controller operates the milk pump at variable
speeds so it pumps just a little faster than the rate
at which
milk enters the receiver. This greatly improves the efficiency
of plate or tube coolers to cool milk down prior
to it entering the bulk tank.
